Walking Tour: Birds and Blueberries

Date/Time
07/21/24
9:00 am to 10:30 am

Location
Captain William A. Fitzgerald Recreation and Conservation Area
Lindbergh Landing
Brunswick, ME 04011
United States

Once a US Navy antenna site, the Captain William A. Fitzgerald Recreation and Conservation Area is now a 66-acre park owned by the Town of Brunswick. It is managed as a critically imperiled Blueberry Sandplain Grassland and is known for its summer bounty of wild blueberries – and its birds! Join local birders Gordon Smith and Peggy Page as we listen and look for the birds that make this unique habitat home and learn about its history. And bring a pail because the wild blueberries should be abundant!

Bring a hat, sunscreen, and binoculars if you have them, and be prepared for ticks. Meet at the gate at the end of Lindbergh Landing, Brunswick.
