The George T. Files American Legion post number 20 exist to promote the goals and objectives of The American Legion within the town of Brunswick, the state of Maine and of the United States of America.

We are a group of women who support the AAUW mission to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research. Members have the opportunity to meet other like-minded women at our meetings and social events geared toward their special interests. Our monthly programs feature speakers discussing current events and women’s issues.

HCA is a free public charter school serving students throughout the Mid Coast in grades 6-12. We have two school locations, Harpswell Neck & Brunswick Landing and a population of 200+ students from over a dozen surrounding communities. There are no admissions requirements, but space is limited and admission is based on an annual lottery each spring. If interested in transferring mid-year, contact us directly. HCA is project-based, place-based and student-driven. We are deliberately small and fiercely focused on helping our young people, regardless of background, learning style, or any other factor, find a pathway to productive, rewarding citizenship right here in Maine.

Welcome to Merrymeeting Bay TU Chapter 329 of Trout Unlimited (MMBTU). Our mission is to conserve, protect, and restore cold water resources and the watersheds on which they depend in Maine. Look for our new downtown Brunswick Event this summer!

SMA is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to learning and teaching about Astronomy and to sharing our interest with others. Established in 2004, we have held scores of star parties and school presentations throughout Greater Portland and Midcoast Maine, reaching more than 20,000 people. With monthly meetings on current topics in astronomy, and star parties where people can observe planets and deep-sky objects and learn about equipment, we provide an enjoyable educational environment for people who are serious amateur astronomers or just curious. We are active in fighting light pollution and preserving dark Maine skies and providing hands-on assistance to the Library Telescope Program.

Celebrating ability! 400 kids and adults with disabilities are assisted to live inclusively in their chosen Maine communities. Spindleworks art studio in Brunswick is creating art, dispelling stereotypes. A non profit art center for adults with disabilities, it engages more than 35 artists who create beautiful and unique works of art. Our store and gallery showcase the work, including drawings and paintings, weaving, sculpture, pottery, poetry and more. Artists receive 75% of the price of any sale. The onsite studios are open to the public to visit during business hours.

CCL empowers everyday people to work together on climate change solutions. Our supporters are organized in more than 400 local chapters across the United States. Together we’re building support in Congress for a national bipartisan solution to climate change.

Strengthening Our Community Through Conservation Since 1985, the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust has preserved more than 2,000 acres in these neighboring Maine towns in our effort to protect properties with true ecological, agricultural and aesthetic importance. Our geographic area is bounded by the Casco Bay coastline and Merrymeeting Bay, and crossed by the Androscoggin, Cathance and Muddy Rivers, open space, forest and contains many areas with active agricultural land. By working to identify and protect the irreplaceable features of Brunswick, Topsham, and Bowdoin, BTLT is working to maintain the natural heritage that helps make our communities so special.

The Save Our Swinging Bridge.Org, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit formed in 2008 to ensure the maintenance and beatification of the historic pedestrian bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham. In 1892, the Swinging Bridge was originally designed and built by the Roebling Co., (legendary designers and constructors of wire rope suspension bridges).

The Curtis collection includes more than 146,000 items. We provide free programs for children and adults, community meeting spaces and free WiFi and internet access for both regular library users and visitors to the community.
