Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary’s 2023 Holiday Wreath Sale

The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary’s 2023 Holiday Wreath Sale is fast approaching and we would like to invite your business to purchase your holiday wreaths from us this holiday season. Wreaths provided through Skillins will have a red bow, are double sided and 18 inches in size. Wreaths and basket arrangements can be ordered until November 26.

ORDER WREATHS UNTIL OCTOBER 1 Wreaths will be delivered to your business before Thanksgiving beginning Friday, November 17.

The annual wreath sale helps the Auxiliary to continue its mission of raising funds to support Health Career Scholarships throughout our community.

The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary (MCHA) is delighted to offer holiday wreaths and other items to community members once again this year. The proceeds from this sale benefit the Auxiliary’s scholarship program, which awards one-year scholarships to both high school seniors as well as non-traditional applicants who wish to pursue a career in the health care field.

Orders can be paid for and picked up at the Auxiliary’s Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale on November 30 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Mid Coast Hospital. The Bazaar and Bake Sale take place in the Mid Coast Hospital Café. Wreaths and arrangements can be picked up under the tent in the hospital’s Healing Garden.

Points of View hosting "Transitions"

Points of View Artists closes their 2023 season with Transitions, a group exhibit in diverse media that reflects the vibrant colors of our Maine autumn.

Exhibit: Sept 5 – Oct 6.

Reception: Friday, September 8; 5-7 pm.

Free Exhibit - ROBERT McCLOSKEY: The Art of Wonder

Curtis Memorial Library is hosting a free exhibit of nearly 70 original illustrations from Robert McCloskey’s iconic Maine-based children’s books – ONE MORNING IN MAINE, TIME OF WONDER, BURT DOW DEEP-WATER MAN, and turning 75 this year . . . BLUEBERRIES FOR SAL, as well as the Boston classic MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS.

The exhibit is open during library hours, and includes special programming throughout, including readings from Sal McCloskey herself, and drawing workshops led by co-presenters the Illustration Institute. Supported by the STK Foundation, Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shops, L.L.Bean and Bath Savings Bank. Sip and Sweat with F45 Training & Flight Deck Brewing

Get ready to sweat and sip as F45 Training Brunswick and a Flight Deck Brewing partner for an outdoor workout series every Monday at 4:30 p.m. starting September 11th through October 2nd. The workouts will be mostly bodyweight and follow F45’s functional HIIT and circuit training. All fitness levels are welcome! Bring a mat, water and, towel and stay for a beer and pizza happy hour following the workout. This event is free to the public.

Bolos Open Mic Night

Rexy Dinosaur hosts open mic night at Bolos on the last Monday of every month! Swing by to perform your own renditions, covers or stand up! Rexy provides basic instruments but all are welcome to bring their own. No reservations needed.
