Spring Science: Get involved with citizen science and engineering projects!Join educators from the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust and Curtis Memorial Library to learn how you can participate in easy and useful citizen science projects. We’ll go over some of our favorite projects and explain how you can participate in each one. We’ll provide basic overviews on a few identification applications, a couple of online communities, and active projects relevant to our neighborhoods and those helpful around the world. By the end of the session you’ll understand the different types of projects, how to get involved in some immediately, and where to find more on your specific interests. Interested but intimidated? Don’t worry, we’re planning a hands-on question session at the end of the lecture where we can help you get started on your own device, so bring your smartphone. |
