The International Fly Fishing Film Festival is the world’s leading fly-fishing film event. IF4 consists of films produced by professional filmmakers from all corners of the globe and showcases the passion, lifestyle, and culture of fly fishing. Created by fly anglers for fly anglers, it is the gathering place of the fly-fishing community and a celebration of friendship, fly-fishing stories and stoke. This year’s entries include:

• Caddis Magic, by Capture Adventure Media: a film about the hope that new techniques will yield success, that bugs will hatch and trout will rise.
• A Fly-fishing Refugee, by Brian Kelly: the story of Mariusz Wroblewski and the discovery of the true reason wild rivers figure so prominently in the pursuit of freedom.
• Four Weeks of Daylight, by Fly Fishing Nation: Join the exploration to Russia’s Kola Peninsula and get an inside look at the Lumbovka and Kachkovka rivers.
• Home Water, by Ryley Leboe: Home Water follows a professional skier and lifelong outdoorsman as he travels back to his childhood home in search of trophy rainbows.

American Chop Suey Supper

The American Legion in Brunswick is having an American Chop Suey Supper fundraiser on Saturday, April 2nd. The price is $10 for a homemade comfort-food casserole of hamburger, tomatoes and macaroni. It comes with a side of bread and a salad, plus a brownie dessert. We’ll have curbside pick-up from 5 to 6pm – OR – you can dine inside at the American Legion Post in Brunswick.

This is a monthly fundraiser for the American Legion Post 20 in Brunswick, located at 1 Columbus Drive, right off the Mason Street entrance to Route 1 north. This is usually held the first Saturday of every month.

If possible, please RSVP to Post20.suppers@gmail.com or leave a phone message at 721-1172. Include your name, the number of suppers wanted, a phone number, and whether you’ll be taking yours to-go or dining in.
