Jewelry Classes at the Wedge in Ft. AndrossLisa & Scott Cylinder, collaborative studio Art Jewelers for 33 years, are teaching a basic/intermediate Jewelry Class in their Brunswick studio, “the Wedge.” Starting September 7th and running for 8 consecutive Tuesday evenings, the Cylinders will be teaching the basic knowledge of metals and jewelry making. They bring extensive knowledge and experiences to their classroom. Each Spring and Fall, they will be offering 8 week beginner jewelry/metals classes to learn the basic skills of Art Jewelry making. People Plus Summer PicnicCome join us as we kick off the People Plus 45th Anniversary year at our annual summer member picnic at Thomas Point Beach on September 9. Buy your tickets in advance at the People Plus Center, 35 Union Street. $10 ticket special includes admission, lunch and an anniversary t-shirt ($15 non-members). Check-in starts at 11 am, with lunch served about 11:45 am. Enjoy games, the beautiful view and plenty of fresh air while listening to the sounds of Maine singer/songwriter Jud Caswell who will play live at the event. Lunch will include pulled-pork sandwiches, Frank’s homemade baked beans, cole slaw, salad, watermelon, and an anniversary cake for dessert.
