Points of View Artists open their 2024 season with TWENTY! – a celebration of POV’s 20th anniversary. 14 current members and 10 former members share our diverse work.  Exhibit: May 28-June 28.  Reception: Friday, June 14; 5-7 pm.

Plates of Plenty: Virtual Silent Auction for MCHPP

We invite you to join us for the virtual silent auction portion of Plates of Plenty, a benefit event for the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. This auction runs from June 17th – June 23rd and features a fantastic variety of local items and experiences, ranging from theatre and music productions, art and jewelry, stays and experiences, and more, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Proceeds from the event will directly support MCHPP’s mission to ensure access to plentiful food for all members of our community.

We have a BIG goal of raising $50,000 to support MCHPP’s programming amidst the growing need in our community, and we hope you will join us in achieving it!

People Plus Senior Health Expo - Registration OPEN

Registration is now open for the 13th annual People Plus Senior Health Expo to be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Brunswick Recreation Center in Brunswick from 9 am – 1 pm. Both sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are available.

The Expo provides an excellent opportunity to learn about products and services in the categories of medical services, fitness and health, technology, legal, community services, housing/respite care, and finance. In addition to providing a link between consumers and providers, this gathering also encourages networking within the community, thereby strengthening the value of products and service.

SASSMM 22nd Annual Open Golf Tournament

Join us Thursday, June 20th for SASSMM’s 22nd Annual Golf Tournament at the Brunswick Golf Club!

EVENT INFORMATION 
This year’s event will feature an 8AM shotgun start with a scramble format. Prizes will be awarded for many things including  top two teams for both gross and net high scores per flight, a putting contest, closest to the pin and more! Players can register as singles or teams of up to four. The tournament committee will form teams for those not playing in a foursome.

ENTRY FEE: $100 per person. Includes: 18 holes of golf, cart, snacks and refreshments, participation gift, and opportunities to win fun prizes!
Please Note: The entry fee includes a cart. Due to the nature of this tournament being a fundraiser and for the ease of the tournament hosts, discounts cannot be given for Brunswick Golf Club members or those who do not wish to use a cart.
Mulligan Package Add-On ($20): This package includes two mulligans, a chance to have the pro hit a shot for your team on the 9th hole, and the chance to win prizes in our putting contest.
NEW THIS YEAR! Skirt Add-On ($5 per player with a maximum one per person/4 per team): Female identified players will get two shots from the men’s tee. Male identified players will get one shot from the women’s tee.

Tennis Junior Program

Junior Development Program is a program for players including junior high and high school players of all levels. JDP meets three times a week (2 in the summer – Tues and Thurs from 4-5p) and offers a combination of drill, instruction, and play. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for fun drills, instruction, and match play. Participation in the JDP program includes a Junior Membership and discounts on tournaments, leagues, and individual instruction, as well as junior club tournaments. This program is perfect for the junior player who aspires to play high school or college tennis.

The evening will include a live-music cocktail hour featuring musicians of VentiCordipassed hors d’oeuvres from Ali Waks of Balaboosta and Jeff Mao of Knead & Nosh, tapas bar by Sanctuary Baking and the live auction with auctioneer Carol Archterhof of celebrated Thomaston Place Auction Galleries.
