Mason to Water Street with Don Westfall

Sunday, August 13th at 1pm

Brunswick’s Mason and Water Streets seem like side stories to central arteries of downtown, but in fact they have an incredibly rich history, from indigenous use of the land and river to development of the town and growth of industry, to the economic and social lives of residents over the past 250+ years. This tour includes stories about a clockmaker, a dynamic businesswoman, a burning church, significant architecture, the Masons, the town Poor Farm, a park named for a resident, and much more.

PRE-REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT REQUIRED: $8 PHC Members, $12 General Admission (ages 12+), Free for children ages 0-11. Register online https://pejepscothistorical.org/event/mason-to-water-street-don-westfall/ or call 207.729.6606

Participants meet at starting point; driving directions and parking information provided upon registration. Please check-in with tour leader at least 10 minutes prior to tour time.

Tours are limited to 20 unless otherwise noted. PHC maintains a waiting list for each tour in case of cancellations. Most tours are 75-90 minutes, though tours outside of downtown may go slightly longer. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear sturdy shoes, sunblock, and/or bug spray as needed.
