5K Run/Walk for KidsJoin us outside in the fresh air to support your health AND the one-to-one mentoring matches of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick at our second annual 5K Run/Walk for Kids! We are very excited to present this co-hosted fundraiser for BBBS in partnership with Flight Deck Brewing at Brunswick Landing! Summer Walking Tour: The Immigrants in St. John\'s CemeteryAugust 21 Pejepscot History Center Summer Walking TourThe Immigrants in St. John’s Cemetery with Barbara Desmarais & Cathy Leonard By 1750, colonial English and Ulster Scot Protestants had overtaken the native Wabanaki; a century later the descendants of those colonists faced their own invasion—by Catholics from Europe and Canada. Join Barbara Desmarais and Catherine Leonard at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery for stories of Franco, Irish, and other immigrants. St. John’s Cemetery is adjacent to the Varney Cemetery and can be accessed from Pine Street, which dead ends near the cemetery entrance. Parking is along Pine Street. Carpooling is encouraged as possible. |
