We’ve had to change venues for our Thursday Storytime and Craft. Weather permitting, we will hold activities outside in front of Hubbard. If not, we’ll be inside the museum where COVID protocols do apply. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Museum Event Info.

  • FREE and open to the public.
  • Registration not required, capacity limits may apply.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Masks are required within the Museum for visitors 2 to 4 years of age (N95, KF-94).
  • Restroom facilities are not available for tent activities.
  • Tent activities are weather permitting, check website for cancellations on the date.

Points of View artist Carolyn Judson and guest artist Nan Moran present Small Works – featuring colorful paintings and drawings.  On the 3rd floor, Nancy Marstaller shares her painted flags in Seeking Peace thru Art and Prayer

Reception: Friday, August 12, 5-7 pm.

Theater Project Block Party 08/20/22 at 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Theater Project Block Party

The Theater Project is excited to present a Block Party sponsored by The Davis Fund on Saturday, August 20th from 10 AM-1 PM as part of our 50th Anniversary Celebrations. 

There are three free performances on our stage: ESCAPE FROM CAMP WEDGIE by Jim Adolf, directed by Josie and Maggie Adolf at 10 AM, Storytelling with Al Miller at 11 AM, and MODERN CLASSICS by Meghan McGuire, directed by Penelope K. Sanborn at 12 PM.   

Outside we will have theater games and face painting from 10 AM- 1 PM!  This is a great opportunity to see what The Theater Project is about: theater, fun and community!
We’ll see you at 14 School Street!

Theatrical Reading: Thoreau the Futurist and the Emerging Human a.k.a Thoreau and Joe

This independent event will be held in the Curtis Memorial Library Morrell Meeting Room.

This theatrical reading is part of a series associated with the Inspiration Katahdin! Exhibit – an exhibition of images and ideas.

Fine art photography by Connie Baxter Marlow, with excerpts from the writings of Governor Percival Baxter, Henry David Thoreau, and Penobscot elder Arnie Neptune.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the publishing of Connie’s Scrimshaw Press book Greatest Mountain: Katahdin’s Wilderness.

Fat Boy Sock hop is August 20th! Parking starts at 4 PM, food will begin at 5 PM and live music 7 – 10 PM. All profits will be donated to the Brunswick School Department Student Assistance Fund.

Ukrainian Relief Benefit Supper 08/20/22 at 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Ukrainian Relief Benefit Supper

In an effort to support and bring some much-needed relief to the people of Ukraine, Berean Baptist Church will be hosting a benefit supper to help raise funds.

All proceeds will go to Samaritan’s Purse who has been there providing medical, humanitarian, and spiritual support since the beginning of this war.

Donations are tax deductible and checks can be made out directly to Samaritan’s Purse or Berean Baptist Church.

Come and enjoy a buffet style meal including some authentic Ukrainian dishes while supporting those in need!
