Note special time of 10am. Believe it or not, when the skies are clear, you have a great view of Mt. Washington 80 miles away from this beautiful former-Naval fuel depot-turned-community-gathering-space. Join Harpswell resident Spike Haible on the walk around the 120-acre park including a bandstand, 2600 feet of waterfront, nine buildings, wooded trails, and more. You’ll learn about the remediation of the land following the transfer from the Federal Government, how and why the water tower came down, the birds that nest nearby, and more. Mitchell Field is located at 1410 Harpswell Neck Road. Meet at the entrance. Carpooling is recommended as parking is limited.
