Petite MamanShowtime at FrontierWed June 8 | 1pm, 4pm, 7pm PriceEvening (5pm and after) | $10 DescriptionPetite Maman Ce?line Sciamma continues to prove herself as one of the most accomplished and unpredictable contemporary French filmmakers with her follow up to PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE, the uniquely emotional, PETITE MAMAN. Following the death of her beloved grandmother, 8-year-old Nelly accompanies her parents to her mother’s childhood home to begin the difficult process of cleaning out its contents. As Nelly explores the house and nearby woods, she is immediately drawn to a neighbor her own age building a treehouse. What follows is a tender tale of childhood grief, memory and connection. |

Storytelling Workshop with SASSMM & The Telling RoomSexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine & The Telling Room are offering a storytelling workshop for anyone impacted by sexual violence. This includes survivors of sexual violence or friends and family of survivors. This event is happening on Saturday, June 11th from 10am – 2:30 pm on Zoom. A facilitator from The Telling Room will share different ways to share an experience or write creatively. Group members will be able to share their story, practice different writing styles, get peer support, and collaborate with other folks in the group. You get to decide what you would like to share, and it’s okay if what you share isn’t directly related to the trauma you experienced. This space is all yours! Taking a break, turning your Zoom camera off, grabbing a snack, or taking a sec to pet a furry pet are all welcome. If you are interested in this group, please fill out this form! We also have free journals available. Please contact elise@sassmm.org with questions. |

Brandenburg Concerto No. 5“Calling Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No 5 a song may be inaccurate…it is not only as good as music gets, but also as good as it gets, period – as good as existence, reality, life, and the world.” – NPR Experience the exhilarating energy and explosive joy of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. This chamber piece for keyboard, violin, and flute solos includes a harpsichord cadenza so radical it invented the modern piano concerto. Our joyful program is completed with “Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen” (BWV 51) for virtuoso trumpet and soprano, and Vivaldi’s rarely heard Stabat Mater, featuring 2022 GRAMMY-nominated mezzo Carrie Cheron. We also celebrate the launch of our partnership with Longy School of Music. TICKETS
