Tedford Housing will hold a ceremony to commemorate the groundbreaking of its new emergency shelter facility on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Tedford Housing’s new, consolidated facility will replace and expand its two emergency shelters. Adding 60% more capacity as well as critical accessibility and security upgrades, the agency will be able to accommodate more of the need for emergency housing in the southern midcoast region.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 61 Thomas Point Road, Brunswick.

About Tedford Housing – Since 1987 Tedford Housing has been the southern midcoast region’s
sole provider of emergency shelter and homelessness prevention services. It also operates the
Warm Thy Neighbor heat assistance program, and Permanent Supportive Housing for
households who have previously experienced homelessness (37 units across 5 towns). In
winter 2024-25, Tedford Housing will operate its first ever overnight warming center.
