Amanda and her family recently received news that the cancer she’s been fighting for over five years has made its way to her brain and is inoperable. Amanda’s prognosis is 4-12 months. She is undergoing full brain radiation, followed by chemotherapy and additional treatments. These treatments and interventions may prolong her life but will not cure the cancer.

We are coming together as a community to raise money to support the Cohen family, allowing her husband David to be at home with Amanda and their 13 year old son, Jacob. Amanda has devoted her life to helping her son Jacob, who is Autistic, navigate his way with as much support, understanding, love and patience as possible. This diagnosis has been especially difficult for Jacob and it’s more important now, than ever that the family has as much stability and time together for as long as possible, to help prepare Jacob for a life without his Mother. Our goal is to raise enough money and generate enough support to allow David to remain home during this difficult time.
