Lemont Block Collective Featured Artist Weekend 12/13/24-12/15/24 at 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Lemont Block Collective Featured Artist Weekend

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 13 through 15, Lemont Block Collective will host a Featured Artist Weekend.

Ceramic artist Mary McKone, jeweler Beth Thompson, and weaver Rita Steinbach will feature their work, in addition to the creations of 23 other artists, all from Maine, and many from the Brunswick-Topsham area.

Lemont Block Collective represents almost 30 small businesses. Twenty-five of these are artists and makers who can be found at Lemont several times each month, running the gallery. All artists keep 100% of their sales — “LBC” takes zero commission. Another special aspect of the Collective is the opportunity to meet and talk to the artists.

During the weekend of the 13th-15th, Beth, Rita and Mary, three of our most popular, best-selling artists, will be in the store from 11-4 each day, with extended displays of their work. You or a loved one could hardly receive a finer gift than one of Rita’s beautiful hand-woven cowls or scarves; Beth’s fine silver jewelry is as eye-catching as it is unique and Mary’s exceptionally pretty, exceptionally well-produced wild-life-inspired bowls, platters and other wares have a place in any tasteful home.

Other artists will drop by as well. The weekend presents an excellent opportunity to find unique, hand-made, high-end gifts, from Maine artists — with something for every size home and every size budget. From original wall art, to prints and cards, to hand-woven and hand-knitted scarves, dishware, ornaments, and a wide array of hand-made jewelry: Find your gift and meet the hands which made it.

Rita, Mary, and Beth will be present throughout the weekend of the 13th, and you’ll find the 3 together each day from 11:00-4:00. There will be an open house from 11:00am – 3pm Saturday, 12/14, with light snacks and beverages, and a scarf tying demonstration from weaver Rita Steinbach.

And of course don’t forget the fabric art, pillows, dishtowels, bowls, cutting boards, hats, stained glass art and vintage collectibles, among many other items to be found at Lemont Block Collective.
