The Y’s Forever Grateful Auction Launches November 8th!

Support the community through the Y’s Forever Grateful auction, featuring a fantastic array of unique gift items and experiences! From Maine oyster tours to houseboat stays, sightseeing excursions, a brand new fat tire bike and a variety of gift cards—there’s something for everyone.

The funds raised support mission-driven programs at the Landing Y and Bath Y such as our year-round hunger prevention initiatives, youth and teen programs, and healthy aging activities.

Healthy Living Fundamentals is a beginner-level Reformer Pilates class designed for individuals with specific needs, such as osteoporosis, arthritis, post-surgery recovery, or pregnancy. With small class sizes, this class offers personalized support and focuses on teaching participants the necessary modifications to move safely and confidently. By building strength, mobility, and balance, participants will develop the skills needed to transition into open-level classes with a strong understanding of how to adapt movements to suit their individual needs.

In Shakespeare’s classic tragedy of ambition and power, Macbeth hears a prophecy that he will become King of Scotland. Convinced by his wife to take action, Macbeth soon learns that power, and what comes with it, isn’t always for the best.

Directed by Lisa Muller, our Young Company will bring this classic tragedy to life from November 15th – 24th, 2024. Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm.

VentiCordi Chamber Music’s next offering is ‘Café Music’ on November 16 & 17.  Artistic Directors oboist Kathleen McNerney and violinist Dean Stein, will be joined by flutist, Nancy Gilman Marfisi and guitarist Jose Manuel Lezcano. You will hear the passionate music of Argentine tango master Astor Piazzolla for oboe and guitar. Also on the program, the great English composer Hilary Tann’s Duo for Oboe and Viola, the legendary violinist Paganini turning to a lighter side with a work for violin and guitar, and chamber music of Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Carulli featuring guest flutist Nancy Gilman Marfisi.

Studio Notes invites you to experience a “House-concert”. Take part in this sound experiment with rhythms, melodies, instruments and beats within the comfortable surroundings of Pinecone Studio.

About Alice Limoges:

Born and raised on a mountain by the sea in coastal Maine, Alice Limoges was singing before she could walk. With roots grounded in the folk, jazz, and rock traditions of her childhood, Alice’s journey led her through seven years in the New York City music scene before the pandemic guided her back to Maine in 2020. Her artistry is marked by her distinct voice, visceral songwriting abilities, and a spirit reminiscent of a classic troubadour.

Alice crafts poetic songs reflecting love, homecoming, and mental health, illuminated by her soulful voice. Whether solo or in collaboration, her performances draw listeners into the intimate space of her vulnerable original music. Having released five independent albums, her song “No One Underneath” stood as a semi-finalist in the 2019 International Songwriting Competition. Notably, she contributed to the Grammy Award winning album “Ageless: Songs For The Child Archetype” by Jon Samson

Alice’s musical journey spans renowned venues like The Cutting Room and Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, as well as festivals and colleges across the northeast. Her expertise extends beyond the stage, guiding aspiring artists through personalized music lessons. Focused on singer-songwriters, Alice imparts technical skill fused with the art of storytelling, drawing from her industry experiences to nurture creativity. Whether sharing her own music or mentoring others, Alice brings beauty and vulnerability into everything she does.
