People Plus Senior Health Expo - Registration OPENRegistration is now open for the 13th annual People Plus Senior Health Expo to be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Brunswick Recreation Center in Brunswick from 9 am – 1 pm. Both sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are available. Adult Learn to Play Tennis 1231-2-3 Adult Learn to Play Tennis at Maine Pines in Brunswick is geared toward the beginning player or player returning to tennis. It includes 3 weeks of lessons designed to instruct the player in all aspects of the game. For the month-long program, it includes a court fee membership with free weekend court time at a particular time, a complimentary cardio tennis class, a social mixer, and free fitness membership during the month. With a commitment to play on a Maine Pines USTA team, 123 members get a complimentary 1-year USTA membership. Stroke Support GroupThis FREE support group promotes wellness in those who have survived a stroke. Each month, a topic of interest to stroke patients and their families is discussed, and guest speakers are invited. Participants have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from others. The Stroke Support Group is facilitated by a Mid Coast Hospital rehabilitation therapist. Kids Tennis at Maine PinesKids Tennis is a great way for your kids to learn a lifetime sport! Red ball is for kids ages 4-7, and Orange ball is for kids ages 8-11. The program teaches tennis skills and strategies through game based drills, as well as footwork patterns and coordination. Players will have fun while learning to play, enjoying the game right from the start. The program runs on a monthly basis (you can join anytime and prorate the month) from 5-6pm.
