The Brunswick Downtown Association is a member-driven, action oriented organization of businesses and citizens who work together for a better community. Our goal is to develop and maintain a vital, hospitable and lively downtown – a location for congregation, socializing, commerce, and a source of pride for residents and neighbors.
How do we do this? Our work consists of coordinating downtown improvement projects, organizing special events around town, sponsoring public programs, and so much more! The Brunswick Downtown Association also operates the Brunswick Visitor Center on Station Avenue, the visitor info center and transportation hub for the Amtrak Downeaster, Concord Coach, Breeze & Brunswick Link.
Our Events:
We also host smaller events such as our Simply Socials – free networking events held at member businesses who are new to the community, new to the BDA, or have something new to share with the community – and Ribbon Cuttings!
The Brunswick Downtown Association is proud to be one of Maine’s 12 nationally accredited Main Street Communities by Main Street America – a designation we have held since 2012! We work actively with Main Street America and the Maine Development Foundation’s “Maine Downtown Center” to accomplish our mission. Main Street America leads a movement committed to strengthening communities through preservation-based economic development in older and historic downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts. We use the Four-Point Approach framework created by the National Main Street Center, which was established by the National Trust in 1980.
Our Mission Statement: To promote Downtown Brunswick and our community as a vibrant and attractive place to live, work, play and do business.
Our Vision Statement: Brunswick will be a thriving commercial, social, cultural and entertainment destination.
