About this Event
Brunswick’s Heart: A Walk Through History & Community
Jane’s Walk is a global festival of free, volunteer-led walking conversations inspired by community activist Jane Jacobs. Jane’s Walk combines the simple act of exploring a place with personal observations, local history, and civic engagement.
The Brunswick Downtown Association is collaborating with Pejepscot History Center to co-host a Jane’s Walk highlighting local nonprofit organizations. This one-mile walking tour will take you through downtown Brunswick, visiting key nonprofit organizations that are embedded in the history of the area. You’ll learn about the buildings they occupy, the work they do, and how they contribute to the social fabric of the community. Along the way, we’ll explore the rich history of the land and architecture, offering a unique perspective on the town’s development.
