Join Midcoast Literacy and become a volunteer tutor for an adult who needs help with literacy. New volunteers are urgently needed to help us meet demand for our programs.
English Language Tutor Training (for tutors to work with adult ELL learners). A 3-day training to prepare tutors to work with English language learners, both new arrivals in Maine and individuals who have been here for some time but need support with reading, writing, and speaking. Tutor training is free and open to the public. No experience is necessary. Volunteer tutors work with adults in northern Cumberland, Sagadahoc, and Lincoln counties.
