About this Event

The Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust’s Annual ‘Taking Root’ Plant Sale is more than just a chance to spruce up your garden — it’s a community celebration of gardening, pollinators, and the power of growing together. Join us!

Discover beautiful, hardy plants perfect for your Maine garden, chat with expert volunteers who can help you choose the right plants for your space, and learn how your plant choices can support Maine’s pollinators like bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and more!

This year, we’re highlighting native plants that support the pollinators who keep our ecosystems thriving. Discover how you can turn your yard into a welcoming habitat by planting native species that bloom from spring to fall!

Each year, dozens of volunteers come together to offer a wide selection of perennials, the majority of which are grown and potted at the Tom Settlemire Community Garden (TSCG), and feature native, pollinator and beneficial plants — with proceeds directly supporting the Garden. TSCG helps over 80 local families grow their own food, offers free gardening workshops, and produces thousands of pounds of fresh food annually for Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. When you shop, you help our community grow in every sense of the word.
