About this Event

The Festival is pleased to present pianist Orion Weiss, one of the most sought-after soloists and chamber music collaborators of his generation. Orion Weiss is a “brilliant pianist” (The New York Times) with “powerful technique and exceptional insight” (The Washington Post).

Weiss will perform Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 44 with violinist YooJin Jang and Ying Quartet Members (Robin Scott, violin • Phillip Ying, viola • David Ying, cello) at Studzinski Recital Hall on the campus of Bowdoin College for the final Sunday matinée of the season.

The Bowdoin International Music Festival is pleased to announce the 2025 season, June 30 – August 8, which will feature an exciting lineup of concerts, masterclasses, and community events, welcoming both distinguished and rising artists to Brunswick from across the globe. Concertgoers will enjoy evening chamber music at Studzinski Recital Hall every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, in addition to Sunday matinees on July 13 and Aug. 3. On July 18 and Aug. 8, Crooker Theater will host the Festival orchestra alongside guest concerto soloists.
