The BDA is seeking nominations for our 2020 Downtown Preservation Awards. The awards will be presented on April 23rd at BDA’s Speaker Series Spring event featuring Curt Dale Clark (Buy Tickets). Nominations for the Downtown Preservation Awards are due no later than March 17 .
The Downtown Preservation Awards are presented annually in recognition of people and organizations that have created tangible value in the heart of the community through renovation or restoration of existing buildings or through new construction that restores and enhances the traditional streetscape. Retail, residential, and institutional buildings are eligible for consideration as are infrastructure improvements. Projects completed in the prior ten years may be nominated.
Honorees in prior years have included the Amos O. Reed House on High Street, exterior renovations of the Berries Hearing & Optical building on Maine Street, Maine State Music Theater production facility on Elm Street, The Harriett Beecher Stowe House renovation on Federal Street, the Lincoln Block, owned by Bill and Sandy Moore and many more.
