Encore walking tour! In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Brunswick Mall, local historian Jym St. Pierre lead another tour of “From Swamp to Centerpiece: The Brunswick Town Mall at 200” on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 1pm.

In June, 1823, three local men conveyed by deed real estate that included the Mall area stretching from Pleasant Street to First Parish Church. The town paid them five cents. The deed specified that the land was to be used only “as a public walk or Mall” forever. So far, that promise has been honored, but in many different ways over the past two centuries. As you walk around the Mall, Jym St. Pierre will talk about, and share images of, the many changes the parcel has gone through over time.

Participants meet at starting point; driving directions and parking information provided upon registration. Please check-in with tour leader at least 10 minutes prior to tour time.

Tours are limited to 20 unless otherwise noted. PHC maintains a waiting list for each tour in case of cancellations. Most tours are 75-90 minutes, though tours outside of downtown may go slightly longer. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear sturdy shoes, sunblock, and/or bug spray as needed.

PRE-REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT REQUIRED: $8 PHC Members, $12 General Admission (ages 12+), Free for children ages 0-11. Register online using the link below or call Pejepscot History Center at 207.729.6606.
