COVID restrictions may keep us from singing together, but we can still listen, learn, and grow together through music! Oratorio Chorale’s Virtual Music Workshops are designed specifically for you – music lovers, amateur instrumentalists, piano players, choral singers, culture geeks – to improve your understanding of how music works and why.
Music in Non-Western Traditions
Mondays, April 5–May 3 (no meeting April 19) • 7:00pm • $30
Instructor: Patia Maule, Visiting Instructor
This four-week online class will explore unifying themes such as where and when music is played, how music is taught, and what instrument families are found around the world. In the final week, we will examine African and European throughlines in the Americas across a wide range of genres.
