The Theater Project’s 43rd season continues with a new adaptation of SNOW WHITE by Jessie Braham White. This production stars The Theater Project’s high school Young Company and is directed by alum Karin Baard.
Although the tale may be a familiar one, the director and cast have taken care to find new and interesting things to say about the lovely young girl, the wicked queen, and the friendly dwarves.
“We all know the story of Snow White” says Baard, “so our primary challenge with this production has been how to find something fresh and genuine in such a well-known and beloved fairytale. On top of that, fairytales pose a unique challenge because of their magical elements and archetypal characters. So we’ve been working on finding a balance, remembering that behind the poisoned apples and magic mirrors there are real people with very human responses (jealousy, love, desperation, compassion) without losing that special element that makes a fairytale a fairytale. ”

With lighting and set design by JP Gagnon, and costume and prop design by Jen Roe, SNOW WHITE is a magical evening of entertainment for the whole family. Will Snow White survive the wicked queen’s evildoings? Do these dwarves have names? What does a triple decker bunk bed look like? Get your tickets and find out.
“SNOW WHITE” will be onstage December 12-21.  Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm.  All tickets are suggested $12 and are available online anytime at, calling the box office at 729-8584, or visiting 14 School Street in Brunswick. This production is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Ltd.
