6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Did you know that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)? SAAM is a time to not only honor the experiences of survivors, but to spread awareness about how we can all help to end sexual violence in our communities. All month long, SASSMM will be hosting live events on our Facebook and Instagram! Come join us as our advocates discuss boundaries, sexuality, and more! We’ll be chatting, making bagels, cooking soup, and crafting along the way.
Our first SAAM event is Q&A With an Advocate!
April 5th, 6:30-7:30pm: Ask an Advocate
What does an advocate do? Why does someone become an advocate? What does being an advocate look like in the rural mid coast? We will be interviewing August Sender, who has 8+ years of advocacy experience, about what advocacy means to them and what they do at SASSMM. The floor will be open to your questions!
