Did you know that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)? SAAM is a time to not only honor the experiences of survivors, but to spread awareness about how we can all help to end sexual violence in our communities. All month long, SASSMM will be hosting live events on our Facebook and Instagram! Come join us as our advocates discuss boundaries, sexuality, and more! We’ll be chatting, making bagels, cooking soup, and crafting along the way.
Our second SAAM event is a collaboration with Maine Family Planning!
April 14th, 6:30-7:30pm: Maine Family Planning & SASSMM: An Open Conversation
Join us for a discussion about navigating sex, sexuality, and sexual health during a pandemic. Maddy, MFP’s Prevention Coordinator and Elise, SASSMM’s Community Outreach Advocate will talk about consent, boundaries, trauma, and more! Bring your current crafting project and let’s get to chatting!
