Spindleworks presents “Put A Bird on It” at The Whatnot Gallery, 7 Lincoln St in Brunswick, ME. Everything looks better with a bird on it! This fowl themed show from Spindleworks artists explores birds of all shapes and sizes including chickens, owls, and flamingos. The diverse species of birds lends well to the creative interpretations of the artists exhibited. It seems that every generic item on store shelves currently comes with a bland silhouette of a bird. This is an unfair representation of near 10,000 species on the planet; Spindleworks hopes that you will gain a better understanding of the uniqueness of color and life in each bird represented. In the true spirit of the title, Spindleworks invites the public to come and “Put A Bird On It” at our opening on June 12th. Dig out your ugliest shirt from the depths of the closet and bring it along and we will help make you the most fashionable person in town because you “Put A Bird On It”!
