Mid Coast Hospital’s Our Health: Film and Discussion Series continues on July 18 at Frontier Cinema and Café in Brunswick. The next film, “A Seat at the Table” will screen at 7:00 p.m., followed by a discussion about food insecurity in our community. The event is free and open to the public.
50 Million Americans don’t know where their next meal is coming from. And one in four are children. A Place at the Table shows how the issue could be solved once and for all if American public decides that making healthy food available and affordable is in the best interest of all of us.
Deborah Hagler, MD, with Mid Coast Pediatrics, Tasha Gerkin, RD, Mid Coast Hospital’s SNAP Educator, as well as a representative from Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program will lead the audience in discussion directly following the film.
The film series continues throughout the year, featuring films that shine a spotlight on important health topics for the Midcoast region. To reserve seats, visit: www.explorefrontier.com/schedule/film.
