DESCRIPTION:Join Liz and Vanessa for Reiki & Restorative Yoga! Liz will guide you through a series of restorative yoga postures while Vanessa facilitates reiki (hands-on with consent\, or hands-off) with students. \nRestorative Yoga is meant to relax\, relieve\, and rejuvenate the body. Restorative postures are a little different than other styles of yoga\, in that we’re not searching for a sensation in the body\, but rather releasing the use of muscles altogether to experience the sensation of being fully supported. This practice utilizes lots of props to support the body allowing the muscles to soften while calming our nervous system. A restorative practice encourages a new sense of bodily awareness and introspection. \nRei – Universal and Ki – Life Force \, sometimes classified as an alternative healing modality\, is a practice in which the practitioner places their hands over or on a recipient for the purpose of transmitting healing energy. This healing energy is source from the universal life force energy and is conducted through the protection – going where healing is needed the most. Reiki works on all levels of a person’s being; physical\, mental\, emotional\, and spiritual and activates the body’s innate ability to heal itself. \nIn the context of Liz’s restorative class\, each participant will have a chance to experience hands on Reiki (with consent) provided by Vanessa Bresson. Vanessa is a reiki attuned human interested in each person’s innate ability to heal themselves\, and in giving loving care to others. \n*All classes are 18+\n*Please pre-register
