DESCRIPTION:Across the globe\, young people are taking governments to court to fight for their constitutional right to a livable climate. Philip Gregory\, co-lead counsel in landmark youth-led cases such as Juliana v. United States\, Held v. Montana\, and Lighthiser v. Trump\, will share cutting-edge legal strategies behind the climate litigation movement that’s reshaping environmental law and empowering the next generation. \nPhilip Gregory is Of Counsel to Our Children’s Trust\, the organization representing youth plaintiffs in climate change litigation. Since 2010\, Phil has focused his advocacy on youth climate action. Phil serves as co-lead counsel in Juliana v. United States\, Genesis v. U.S. EPA\, and Lighthiser v. Trump. Phil also served as co-lead counsel in Held v. Montana and Navahine F. v. Hawaii. Phil has co-authored amicus briefs at the U.S. Supreme Court on climate issues\, as well as the equal rights of children. Phil has received numerous honors\, including the Montana Trial Lawyers Association Public Service Award (2024) and the Owens Lawyer of the Year Award (2018).
