The Maine Prisoner Advocacy Coalition (MPAC) and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick (UUCB) invite the public to MPAC’s next bi-monthly meeting to engage the community around issues of ethical, positive and humane changes to the state’s prison system.

These community meetings offer the public an opportunity to hear updates about MPAC’s work, and action steps that citizens can take to help advocate for prisoners’ rights. The focus of the February meeting will be on current legislation about prison reform, and the recent political changes in Augusta, specifically Governor Mills’ appointment of Randall Liberty, former warden of the Maine State Prison, to State Commissioner of Corrections.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information about MPAC, visit www.maineprisoneradvocacy.org. For more information about UUCB, visit www.uubrunswick.org.
