We invite you to join us on Monday, September 29 at 6:00 PM at The Tavern as we celebrate the flavors of fall with our third annual Beer vs. Wine Dinner.
Inspired by his experiences while traveling, Chef David Pendexter will prepare a four course dinner featuring traditional German dishes. The dinner begins with a dish of poached white asparagus served with fresh spatzle, tossed in brown butter and sage. Guests will also enjoy locally-sourced bratwurst with sauerkraut and viener schnitzel – pork medallions breaded in fresh crumbs, fried and served with a roasted mushroom-infused demi-glace. The evening will end on a sweet note with grilled peaches topped with goat cheese and drizzled with local honey.
Courses are served with carefully-selected German wine and beer, giving diners the opportunity to discuss with their table mates which beverages pair best with the flavors of each dish.
The Beer vs. Wine Dinner, including beverages, is $38 per person plus tax and gratuity. The event will run from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. Space is limited and reservations may be made through OpenTable and by calling the hotel directly at 207.837.6565.
