What is Bark For Life? The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walk for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness of the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
What happens at Bark For Life? The event is a fun-filled afternoon that kicks off with an opening ceremony at noon, a 1 mile dog-walk, followed by a celebration of the care-giving qualities of our beloved four-legged friends.
Who can participate? Anyone can participate. Teams of dog owners along with their dogs have fun walking together, while raising much-needed funds and awareness to help the American Cancer Society’s life-saving mission. If you do not own a dog, you are still welcome to walk with us!
Is there a registration fee? The only requirement to participate in Bark For Life is a registration fee ($20 per owner and dog, or $40 for those with multiple dogs). After that, anything you can raise through individual, team, or online fundraising is graciously accepted, and gratefully appreciated.
How do I register? Sign up online at www.relayforlife.org/barkbrunswickme, or call the American Cancer Society’s Topsham, Maine office at 207-373-3700
