Stop by to see author, storyteller and musician, Brian Daniels perform as his alter-ego, Average Joe Wright, an average, thick-around-the-middle man living in Smalltown, USA who is hopelessly clinging to the twentieth century. The modern world just confuses and frustrates him prompting him to offer his humorous takes and wry observations on just what is wrong with it all.
It Seemed Like a Compliment to Me, like Brian’s previous book, Thoughts of an Average Joe, offers Average Joe’s hilarious rants about the challenges of life in the modern world as well as humorous stories inspired by the eclectic and fascinating Smalltown characters who share his world.
At this event, Joe will tell stories about his affinity for beer, his “Revolutionary Weight Loss Plan,” the stories of the likes of crusty old Davis Doppen and Thelma- ”the Old Duke Lady,” as well as his humorous musings about the thoughts of his baby granddaughter, Ella. He’ll also bring along his guitar and perform a few funny songs inspired by the stories.
Free and open to the public. FMI 725-5242.
