Geologists Nelia Dunbar and Bill McIntosh will give a presentation on Antarctica and global warming. Dunbar and McIntosh are geologists associated with the New Mexico Bureau of Mining and Mineral Resources, and Dunbar recently became the New Mexico State Geologist. They have devoted a good part of their professional lives to studying the continent, including a combined total of some 50 austral summer visits there. The West Antarctic ice sheet which is much in the news these days has been a principal focus of Dunbar’s work.
