Join the Merrymeeting Bay Trout Unlimited group for talk & presentation

Escape from a cold, dark Maine winter evening with local fishing guide Kevin Tracewski as he presents “A Beginner’s Guide to Flats Fishing in the Bahamas, Mexico, Belize” at the February get-together of the Merrymeeting Bay Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Kevin has been fly-fishing the Caribbean and central America for more than 20 years.  At the February meeting, Kevin will talk and show photos of his favorite southern places and fishing experiences as we dig our toes into imagined sun-drenched sands.

Members and the public are invited to attend the Merrymeeting Bay monthly meeting of this national cold-water conservation organization as we gather sportspeople and conservationists on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Sea Dog Brewing, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham.  Social hour begins at 6:00 pm, the presentation starts at 7:00 pm. The event is free; dinner and drinks can be purchased.

Kevin is a registered Maine guide and author of the best-selling book, A Fisherman’s Guide to Maine.  He taught biology at the University of Maine in Orono for 33 years before retiring to become a full-time guide. In the winter, Kevin hosts get-away fishing trips throughout the Caribbean, including to the Tail-Inn Lodge, Espiritu Santo Bay, Mexico, in late February. www.fishguideme.com

Our mission is to conserve, protect, and restore our area’s cold-water resources and the watersheds on which they depend. Trout Unlimited?is the nation’s oldest and largest?cold-water?fisheries conservation organization dedicated to caring for and recovering America’s rivers and streams so our children can experience the joy of wild and native trout and salmon. Across the country, TU brings to bear local, regional, and national grassroots organizing, durable partnerships, science-backed policy muscle, and legal firepower on behalf of trout and salmon fisheries, healthy waters, and vibrant communities.
