MSMT presents its free film series, Teaser Tuesdays, which screens movies related to the upcoming main stage musicals.
Join us at the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick as we screen West Side Story, starring Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, and Rita Moreno. This acclaimed adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet” is set in 1950s New York City, where rival gangs, the Jets led by Riff and the Sharks led by Bernardo, are at war. When Riff’s best friend Tony meets Bernardo’s sister Maria at a dance, their love becomes unstoppable with tragic results. Free popcorn and a discussion of the film will round out the evening.
The film will be shown in the Morrell Meeting Room of Curtis Memorial Library.
