BTLT’s Annual ‘Taking Root’ Plant Sale

Join us for a beloved spring tradition, BTLT’s ‘Taking Root’ Plant Sale!

Whether you’re a seasoned green thumb or just getting started, our enthusiastic volunteers will be there to help you find the perfect plants for your garden or yard!
Each year, dozens of volunteers come together to offer a wide selection of perennials, biennials, shrubs, and small trees at fantastic prices — with proceeds directly supporting the Tom Settlemire Community Garden.

Learn how your plant choices can support Maine’s pollinators like bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and more! Discover how you can turn your yard into a welcoming habitat by planting native species that bloom from spring to fall.

Purchases from the sale help to support the Tom Settlemire Community Garden, which provides free gardening workshops to the community, supports over 80 local families through our plot program, and grows and donates thousands of pounds of fresh produce to the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program each year!

This year, the sale will span THREE days (the first 3 Saturdays in June) and take place at the BTLT Farmers Market at Crystal Spring Farm throughout the duration of the Market (8:30am – 12:30pm).
