37th Annual Meeting of TrainRiders Northeast

This will be the 37th annual meeting of TrainRiders Northeast, the citizens’ group that brought you the Downeaster passenger rail service. TrainRiders’ purposes are to educate public officials and the public at large about the benefits of passenger rail service and to advocate for that service as part of a balanced and useful transportation system. Speakers at the meeting will include a representative of the Federal Railroad Administration, the president and CEO of the Railroad Passengers Association, Maine’s Commissioner of Transportation, the executive director of Maine’s rail authority, and representatives of short line railroads. A buffet luncheon will be served.
