Join us for the BDA Speaker Series featuring Curt Dale Clark, Artistic Director of Maine State Music Theater as our Speaker Series goes on the road to the MSMT office at 22 Elm Street. Thursday, April 23rd from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Registration and networking begins at 5:00.

Discover the excitement that goes on Behind-the-Scenes of a theatre production at MSMT. From set design, costume creation and lighting to auditions and choreography, we’ll learn how it all comes together.

  • Refreshments: Enjoy appetizers created by Union Street Bakery. Wine and beer will be served.

Calling all kids ages 4 – 7! Maine Pines is offering FREE Red Ball Tennis Sessions this year on USTA approved red ball courts.

Players ages 4 – 7 will be taught hand-eye coordination, tennis footwork, and the basic skills and strategies of the game. Players will have fun while learning to play through game-based play.

Preschool Tennis is a great way for little players (ages 2 1/2-5) to be introduced to the game for tennis. Players will learn hand eye coordination and the basic tennis strokes, with a goal of their learning to rally on their own.

JDP is a program for middle school and high school players of all levels. JDP meets three times a week and offers a combination of drill, instruction, and play.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for drill and instruction; Fridays will be for match play with coaching. Participation in the JDP program includes a Junior Membership and discounts on tournaments, leagues, and individual instruction, as well as junior club tournaments. This program is perfect for the junior player who aspires to play high school or college tennis. Age exceptions can be made depending upon ability.

Kentucky Derby Party

Join us for the most exciting two minutes of sports as we celebrate all things Kentucky Derby! 

You can enjoy Derby themed drinks at our cash bar (mint julep, anyone?!) and southern style hors d’oeuvres as we wait for the Derby and celebrate the lucky winner. If the weather permits, we will have corn hole, a fire pit and maybe even  a game a horseshoes at our outdoor patio. 

Part of the fun of the Derby is getting dressed up, and we encourage you to go all out!  Hats are a must – the bigger, the better!  Bowties and crazy jackets or pants are welcome, too.  We will have a contest for the best dressed, so don your Derby duds and step out in style!

Calling all performers - Midcoast Maine's Got Talent

Can you sing? dance? act? Can you tell a jokes? Are you a juggler? Ventriloquist? Hula-hooper? Play the bag pipes? Play harmonica? Have a band? Have a uni-cycling group?

Calling all performers young and old! (solo acts age 8 and older / or age 6 and older as part of a group), we are now taking applications for this fun and lively, local talent show!

The Brunswick Rotary Club is now accepting applications for Midcoast Maine’s Got Talent 2020!” The ninth edition of this fun and well-attended local talent show will be held on May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Crooker Theatre in Brunswick.  Deadline for applications is April 24, however, since the event is capped at twenty participating acts, interested parties are encouraged to apply immediately.

All ages and all types of talent are welcome to apply with no entry fee. The three categories of acts include “vocalist,” “dance,” and “other/specialty.” All acts are limited to a maximum performance time two and half minutes.

Once again, Curt Dale Clark, the Artistic Director of Maine State Music Theater, will as the event emcee. MSMT Interns will perform the opening number again this year.

Proceeds from this annual event benefit hundreds of area youth and families through the Brunswick Rotary Club Community Fund. The Brunswick Rotary participates in many local and international service projects and financially supports non-profit organizations that serve our community. Charitable donations have been provided to the Brunswick Teen Center, People Plus, the Swinging Bridge Fund, Midcoast Hunger Prevention, the Independence Association and various youth sports programs as well as funding the Fourth of July games on the Mall and the annual Bike Rodeo.

Calling all kids ages 4 – 7! Maine Pines is offering FREE Red Ball Tennis Sessions this year on USTA approved red ball courts.

Players ages 4 – 7 will be taught hand-eye coordination, tennis footwork, and the basic skills and strategies of the game. Players will have fun while learning to play through game-based play.

Preschool Tennis is a great way for little players (ages 2 1/2-5) to be introduced to the game for tennis. Players will learn hand eye coordination and the basic tennis strokes, with a goal of their learning to rally on their own.

Participation in the JDP program includes a Junior Membership and discounts on tournaments, leagues, and individual instruction, as well as junior club tournaments. FREE Tennis Red Ball Kids Ages 4-7

Calling all kids ages 4 – 7! Maine Pines is offering FREE Red Ball Tennis Sessions this year on USTA approved red ball courts.

Players ages 4 – 7 will be taught hand-eye coordination, tennis footwork, and the basic skills and strategies of the game. Players will have fun while learning to play through game-based play.

The sessions meet Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 5 – 6 PM. You must register: calling 729-8433 or email tennis@mainepines.com .

1-2-3 Tennis is geared toward the beginning player or player returning to tennis. It includes 3 weeks of lessons designed to instruct the player in all aspects of the game. For the time of the program, it includes a court fee membership with free Sat & Sun court time. 123 also includes a complimentary cardio tennis class, social tennis mixer, a fitness & yoga pass for the length of 1-2-3, and the option to purchase a ball machine card for $30 during the month of the membership.

It meets beginning the first week of the month. Session choices are as follows: Tues 9 am, OR Wed 6 pm, OR Sat 10 am
COST: $55.00 per session (3 classes) (Go to Groupon for a 1/2 price coupon!).

JDP is a program for middle school and high school players of all levels. JDP meets three times a week and offers a combination of drill, instruction, and play.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for drill and instruction; Fridays will be for match play with coaching. Participation in the JDP program includes a Junior Membership and discounts on tournaments, leagues, and individual instruction, as well as junior club tournaments. This program is perfect for the junior player who aspires to play high school or college tennis. Age exceptions can be made depending upon ability.

Cost With Adult Family Member: $59/month; Without Adult Family Member: $69/month.

Preschool Tennis is a great way for little players (ages 2 1/2-5) to be introduced to the game for tennis. Players will learn hand eye coordination and the basic tennis strokes, with a goal of their learning to rally on their own.
