Preschool Tennis Ages 2 1/2-5

Preschool Tennis is a great way for little players (ages 2 1/2-5) to be introduced to the game for tennis. Players will learn hand eye coordination and the basic tennis strokes, with a goal of their learning to rally on their own.

Meets on Tuesdays from 11:45-12:30, cost is $55.

Junior Tennis Middle & High School

JDP is a program for middle school and high school players of all levels. JDP meets three times a week and offers a combination of drill, instruction, and play.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for drill and instruction; Fridays will be for match play with coaching. Participation in the JDP program includes a Junior Membership and discounts on tournaments, leagues, and individual instruction, as well as junior club tournaments. This program is perfect for the junior player who aspires to play high school or college tennis. Age exceptions can be made depending upon ability.

FREE Tennis Red Ball Kids Ages 4-7

Calling all kids ages 4 – 7! Maine Pines is offering FREE Red Ball Tennis Sessions this year on USTA approved red ball courts.

Players ages 4 – 7 will be taught hand-eye coordination, tennis footwork, and the basic skills and strategies of the game. Players will have fun while learning to play through game-based play.

The sessions meet Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 5 – 6 PM. You must register: calling 729-8433 or email tennis@mainepines.com .

Black Box Theater Class

Black Box Theater Class is designed to provide a learning enviornment that brings students together to pursue a common goal.  Drama becomes the vehicle to help students explore and perform challenging issues teens are facing every day. 

Students will study and write monologues as well as perform a one-act play.  In-depth character study is key, empowering each student in acting.  Subjects on bullying, addiction, anxiety, and more are explored and brought to the stage.

The class begins on October 3 at 7:30PM to 8:30 PM and will end on March 5, 2020.   
Tuition: $375.00 or $75 a month.  This is a 6 month class and meets every Thursday of each month.

This exhibit explores the traditional skin-on-frame watercraft used by Inuit across the Arctic for hunting, fishing, traveling, and recreation. From Alaska to Greenland and Labrador, Inuit customized these versatile vessels to suit the various water and ice conditions they expected to encounter.

This lecture by kayak scholar and author Harvey Golden coincides with the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum’s Kajak! exhibit opening.

Harvey’s studies have taken him to over 60 museums and he has built over 80 replicas of kayaks, which are exhibited at his Lincoln Street Kayak and Canoe Museum in Portland, Oregon (traditionalkayaks.com). He is presently working on a book on Canadian Inuit kayaks, following his two previous books, Kayaks of Greenland and Kayaks of Alaska.

1-2-3 Tennis is geared toward the beginning player or player returning to tennis. It includes 3 weeks of lessons designed to instruct the player in all aspects of the game. Calling all kids ages 4 – 7! Maine Pines is offering FREE Red Ball Tennis Sessions this year on USTA approved red ball courts.

Players ages 4 – 7 will be taught hand-eye coordination, tennis footwork, and the basic skills and strategies of the game. Players will have fun while learning to play through game-based play.

The sessions meet Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 5 – 6 PM. You must register: calling 729-8433 or email tennis@mainepines.com .

Preschool Tennis Ages 2 1/2-5

Preschool Tennis is a great way for little players (ages 2 1/2-5) to be introduced to the game for tennis. Players will learn hand eye coordination and the basic tennis strokes, with a goal of their learning to rally on their own.

Meets on Tuesdays from 11:45-12:30, cost is $55.

JDP is a program for middle school and high school players of all levels. JDP meets three times a week and offers a combination of drill, instruction, and play.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for drill and instruction; Fridays will be for match play with coaching. Participation in the JDP program includes a Junior Membership and discounts on tournaments, leagues, and individual instruction, as well as junior club tournaments. This program is perfect for the junior player who aspires to play high school or college tennis. Age exceptions can be made depending upon ability.
