Longfellow Days is an annual month-long program, with support from Bowdoin College, Brunswick Downtown Association, Curtis Memorial Library, Nathaniel Davis Fund, Pejepscot History Center, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick. Please visit our anniversary displays at Curtis Memorial Library and Brunswick’s Visitor Center.
Also ask about “ The Longfellow” at Gelato Fiasco where they’re February scooping three flavors celebrating Longfellow’s love of Italy. In your choice of sizing, each dish can include Stracciatella Gelato, Espresso Chip Gelato, and Mascarpone Pistachio Caramel Gelato.

Maine's Civil War HistoryMidcoast Senior College presents a FREE talk, “Maine’s Civil War History” with Heather Moran. Sponsored by The Highlands of Topsham, Maine, the impact of the Civil War on Maine will be discussed using the collections of the Maine State Archives, the most comprehensive collection of Civil War documents of any state. The topic will be viewed at the local level with accounts of Mainers who contributed to or participated in the war effort. Heather Moran is Head of Archives Services at Maine State Archives and was formerly president of the Assoc. of Maine Archives & Museums. Stroke Support GroupThis FREE support group promotes wellness in those who have survived a stroke. Each month, a topic of interest to stroke patients and their families is discussed, and guest speakers are invited. Participants have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from others. The Stroke Support Group is facilitated by a Mid Coast Hospital rehabilitation therapist. Mark your calendars for the first Wednesday of each month from 1-2 p.m. in Conference Room 3 at Mid Coast Hospital. |
