ArtVan Presents: Pásala Bacano 05/25/23 - 06/15/23 at 11:45 am - 8:30 pm

ArtVan Presents: Pásala Bacano

Welcome to ArtVan‘s second exhibit featuring 100 artists of all ages and art styles. In collaboration with MAIZ Colombian Street Food in Brunswick, this year’s theme is Pásala Bacano. A saying MAIZ highlights in neon lights behind their bar translates to Have a good time! Good vibes!   The exhibit will be held in the MAIZ foyer on Pleasant Street.  Each original work of art explores an individual’s expression incorporating joyful memories or local and multicultural connection.

In addition to an opening reception and closing night, activities sprinkled throughout the three-week exhibit invite creative movement and good times. For the latest announcements and sneak previews, visit:

Maine B Corp Community Networking Event

Our next Maine B Corp community networking event will be Thursday, June 8th at 4:00 PM at Wicked Joe Organic Coffee at 35 Canam Drive in Topsham.  The event, open to all, is co-hosted by Wicked Joe and the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority (MRRA).  A big thank you to Bob Garver, President and Founder of Wicked Joe, and Kristine Logan, Executive Director of the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority.

There will be an early tour of Wicked Joe’s coffee roasting facility at 3:15 for those that would like to get a jump on the afternoon’s festivities.  Networking will begin at 4:00.  At 4:30 there will be brief remarks by Bob Garver of Wicked Joe and Kristine Logan of MRRA, as well as by Fiona Wilson, Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer, University of New Hampshire, and Founder of UNH’s B Impact Clinic. Additional networking and tour opportunities will start back up around 5:00.

The event is free of charge but donations to Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, a non-profit the folks at Wicked Joe proudly support, would be most appreciated.

ArtBar 06/08/23 at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

ArtBar

ArtBar is ArtVan’s take on “Paint & Sip” workshops. At ArtBar we focus on the process of creating art rather than the final product. Each participant works on an original inspiration so at the end of the night, each artwork is unique. For a modest fee, participants are invited to paint with the guidance of ArtVan’s professional staff, similar to how we invite our program groups to express themselves. Although this is not a therapy group, it is an experience of creativity. We provide a canvas, paints, brushes, drawing materials, and any artistic support needed.

Taking place at OneSixtyFive. Cash bar available. No outside food or drinks permitted.

Registration is required, and may be done here.
