MSMT's Turn Up the Limelight CampaignIn January, MSMT is launching the Turn Up The Limelight campaign. Our goal is to raise $500,000 by the end of the 2023 season. As a part of this campaign, we will be shedding some “limelight” on what it takes to produce Broadway-quality theatre in Brunswick, Maine with backstage tours, exclusive interviews with our annual and production staff, and inside looks at the MSMT production process. Free Fly-Casting Sessions at Brunswick Recreation CenterGET READY FOR SPRING FISHING SEASON Free Fly-Casting Sessions at Brunswick Recreation Center. Every Wednesday Through March 29; Sponsored by Trout Unlimited. Casting a fly rod got you all tied up in knots? Want to practice that cast? Looking for a new hobby?
These sessions are free, open to the public, and no pre-registration or Rec Center membership is required. Casters will have hula hoops and other items to target. Fly rods and related gear will be available if needed. The sessions are free; donations are accepted. For more information, contact Jeff Bush at jbush@tumaine.org Merrymeeting Bay Chapter of Trout Unlimited Brunswick’s Merrymeeting Bay chapter of Trout Unlimited is the local chapter of this national cold-water conservation organization. Members and the public are invited to attend monthly meetings as we gather sportspeople and conservationists on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May, at Joshua’s Restaurant, 123 Maine Street, Brunswick. Social hour begins at 6:00 pm, presentations start at 7:00 pm. The monthly meetings are free; dinner and drinks can be purchased. Our mission is to conserve, protect, and restore our area’s cold-water resources and the watersheds on which they depend. Trout Unlimited?is the nation’s oldest and largest?cold-water?fisheries conservation organization dedicated to caring for and recovering America’s rivers and streams so our children can experience the joy of wild and native trout and salmon. Across the country, TU brings to bear local, regional, and national grassroots organizing, durable partnerships, science-backed policy muscle, and legal firepower on behalf of trout and salmon fisheries, healthy waters, and vibrant communities.
