Schiller Coastal Studies Center Open HouseBowdoin College’s Schiller Coastal Studies Center on Orr’s Island will hold an open house Sunday, November 13, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Join the Schiller Coastal Studies Center’s staff, faculty, and students to celebrate the new facility and its community. The event is free and open to the public. Visitors may speak with Bowdoin students conducting research at the center and learn about their passion for this special place, explore the center’s 3.5-mile trail system, and tour the facility, including the marine lab, dry lab, and Living and Learning Center, where there will be cider, warm drinks, and snacks. They may also share coastal concerns and ideas for how the Schiller Coastal Studies Center can be a partner with its neighbors to support healthy environments, communities, and economies. For more information, contact Director of the Schiller Coastal Studies Center Holly Parker at h.parker@bowdoin.edu.
