Brunswick Tree Nursery Opening & Art Unveiling 05/21/22 at 10:00 am

Brunswick Tree Nursery Opening & Art Unveiling

Come Celebrate Brunswick’s new tree nursery with an opening ceremony, art displays and a planting demonstration. Rain or Shine! Located next to the Senior Garden on Industry Road.
The opening caps off a series of events as part of Brunswick’s official Arbor Week Celebration from May 15th-21st. The event also features the 3rd installment of four murals that will be on display at the nursery. The nursery mural project is the third in a series of three public murals in Brunswick Public Art’s “Art Around Town” project. This installation was created by local artist Tree Harmon-Hester,.
Each year the Brunswick Town Council, in collaboration with the town’s Tree Committee and support from the Parks & Recreation Department issues a proclamation establishing Arbor Week. Trees in populated areas benefit air quality, generate a natural cooling effect, offer habitats for wildlife, provide aesthetic beauty and generally improve the quality of life in a community. This public demonstration of support for the town’s tree program highlights the benefits of our community trees and the work accomplished in the past year to plant and maintain them.
