“Monster Got Your Back” Radio Play – AGES 9-12

This online class will be held on Zoom and use other online platforms to create a radio play! TTP alum Audrey Burns will use theater games, warm-ups and acting basics to bring to life the script “Monster Got Your Back” written by Putnam Smith.

SATURDAYS JANUARY 29th – MARCH 12th, 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM

Meet Zeeta, her younger brother Wolf, and her cousin Wren— just a few kids trying to enjoy a hot summer day on the beach. There are rumors circulating, however, about the legend of a monster who lives in the caves at the far end of the be

ach. Rumors, of course, often prove to be untrue. In this case, as our friends are about to discover, the truth turns out to be a little more complicated than separating fact from fiction, the natural from the supernatural. The truth about the reality of monsters turns out to be a lot closer to home.

Audrey Burns is a native Mainer currently living in Portland, ME. She studied Theater a

nd Rhetoric, Film & Screen Studies at Bates College and graduated with honors in Acting in 2017. Audrey now works at her alma mater in Admission. She recently joined the Theater Project board in 2021, and has been thrilled to reconnect with the community that first exposed her to the joys of acting and creating onstage! Audrey enjoys knitting, live music, and adventuring through Maine.

Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn 02/05/22 at 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn

Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn at Frontier
Directed by Radu Jude
Cast: Katia Pascariu, Claudia Ieremia, Olimpia Malai, Nicodim Ungureanu
Genre: Comedy | Drama
1hr 46mins

In Radu Jude’s (Aferim!) provocative Golden Bear-winning comedy, schoolteacher Emi finds her career and reputation under threat after a personal sex tape is leaked on the Internet. Forced to meet the parents demanding her dismissal, Emi refuses to surrender to their pressure. Filmed entirely during Bucharest’s lockdown, BAD LUCK BANGING OR LOONY PORN delivers an incendiary mix of unconventional form, irreverent humor and scathing commentary on hypocrisy and prejudice in our societies. Romania’s Oscar® entry for Best International Feature Film.

Rated NYT #2 Best Movie of 2021 & European Film Award for Best Director and Best Screenwriter

“From its hard-core opening to its riotous conclusion, this category-defying Romanian film captures the desperate, angry, exhausted mood of the present almost too well. A Bucharest schoolteacher (the brilliant, fearless Katia Pascariu) finds her job endangered after a sex tape she made with her husband goes semiviral. Meanwhile, the Covid pandemic and simmering culture-war hostilities turn everyday life into a theater of grievance and anxiety. Holding everything together — barely — is the abrasive intellectualism of Jude’s direction and the earnest rage that fuels his mockery.”
