September People Plus Raffle: “Tuscan Dinner and Farm Tour” with the Gentleman Farmer in Maine

Enjoy a Tuscan Dinner for six with the Gentleman Farmer in Maine (at the home of Jonathan Edgerton and Stacy Frizzle-Edgerton). Take a tour of the farm followed by dinner under the pergola. With twinkly lights reflected off the pond, the evening will be filled with friends, fun and delicious food!

The Big Swing Golf Tournament

The Big Swing is one of Big Brothers Big Sisters will host one of its biggest fundraisers – The Big Swing golf tournament – on Friday, September 11 at the Brunswick Golf Club! Please help kids in the communities of Brunswick, Harpswell, and all of Sagadahoc County by forming a golf team at your company, school, organization, or with family and friends. 

There will be mulligans and strings to purchase, and chances to shoot for a Hole-In-One prize. $150.00 entry fee (per golfer) or $500.00 per foursome includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, awards, plenty of great prizes and on-course contests. For more info

Online Support Group for Anyone Impacted by Sexual Violence

Join one of SASSMM’s free, private online support groups!

Our online HelpRoom is an anonymous space for people impacted by sexual violence to connect with one another virtually. Our trained advocates help facilitate these group discussions to make sure the HelpRoom is a safe and supportive place for everyone. We are offering three groups this fall for anyone impacted by sexual violence. This includes sexual assault survivors, friends and family of survivors, and anyone concerned about sexual violence. Pick the time that works best for you and join us at the scheduled group time by visiting and enter the chat. No sign up necessary! You can join us for one session, weekly, or for multiple groups.

Please join us as we take advantage of Brunswick’s wide sidewalks and open space on Maine Street to space out the artists and event attendees at this low key event to make it more like a series of mini events. The BDA is very concerned about the safety and health of the Brunswick Community and we hope people will feel comfortable coming downtown to check out the artists displays, the variety of shops, and the many outdoor and indoor dining opportunities, all while adopting safe practices. The 2nd Friday Brunswick event will occur from 4 to 7 p.m. on the second Friday of July, August, and September 2020.  Event festivities will include an ArtWalk with over 15 artist displays outside on the sidewalks and in several downtown retail shops.
